I use Kubuntu 12.10.
When I have a global menu bar active, the dropdown menus for example in
the preferences windows don't work anymore. The dropdown menus don't
show up (e.g. choosing what to show when starting Firefox). I also can't
change the search engine in Firefox' top right field - because it is a
dropdown menu, too.
