OK, problem solved!
Thanks to http://souriguha.wordpress.com/2011/03/08/how-to-solve-
problem-with-thinkpadkslowd-kworker-on-linux-kernel-2-35-2-36/ I found a
solution. Too bad it's after I converted to Arch Linux.
Here are two variants of the solution in short, based on affect:
Immediate (until restart):
sudo su -
echo N> /sys/module/drm_kms_helper/parameters/poll
exit
Permanent (after restart):
sudo su -
echo "options drm_kms_helper poll=N">/etc/modprobe.d/local.conf
exit
Hope this helps others having the same problems on Acer Extensa 5235 and/or
Intel GMA 4500M graphic, no matter the kernel version and linux distribution.
** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
Status: Incomplete => Confirmed
** Also affects: linux (Arch Linux)
