I could finally solve this bug. It was caused by the module "lmpcm_usb",
the "USB Logitech MediaPlay Cordless Mouse driver" by David Oliveira.
The problem only existed with my USB Logitech MX Laser 1000 mouse. Even
if the lmpcm_usb module is for an other model, it somehow interfered
with my mouse. This module is in the ubuntu-modules package, which I
need for the ipw3945 module, so I blacklisted it.
What should we do with this knowledge now? Is there any change to tell
the lmpcm_usb module not to take care of an MX Laser mouse?
