Users wanting to run logcheck -t to test cannot do so in 12.04. This worked fine in all previous versions. [Test Case] With logcheck installed run su -s /bin/bash -c "/usr/sbin/logcheck -dot" logcheck broken version will end with something like this: D: [1358289550] error: Killing lockfile-touch - 563 D: [1358289550] error: Removing lockfile: /var/lock/logcheck/logcheck.lock D: [1358289550] Error: Could not run logtail or save output Error: Could not run logtail or save output.
