Public bug reported:
The problem:
If you're trying to copy a number of files with the file browser, and
one of them is unable to be copied for some reason, the error dialog
truncates the filename so much there is no obvious way to find out WHICH
FILE is the problem. The only options given are "skip", "cancel", and
"retry".
You get an error message like: <<"/home/tomm... label.png" cannot be copied
because you do not have permissions to read it.>>
Not even the complete filename is visible.
Steps to reproduce:
a) make a folder with file browser and put some files in it
b) change the permissions of one of the files to prevent read access (e.g.
change the owner to "root" and set all other permissions to "none")
c) attempt to copy the folder (e.g. with drag and drop)
While this can be reproduced solely in ubuntu, I come across this error
mainly when trying to copy files from a windows machine. It's extremely
frustrating.
