Public bug reported:
precise and quantal lubuntu-desktop fail to coexist with other desktops.
eg:
o boot ubuntustudio-12.04.1-dvd-i386.iso
o install, boot
o apt-get update
o apt-get dist-upgrade
o apt-get install screen vim vim-doc
o apt-get install lubuntu-desktop
at this point login lubuntu desktop works
o apt-get install edubuntu-desktop
but at this point login lubuntu desktop fails. login ubuntustudio
desktop still works. but attempting login lubuntu desktop merely retuns
directly to display manager.
