Recently [it may have happened when I went from 12.04 to 12.10, but I
don't recall 100%], XFCE was updated
Stepwise:
0) This is for a two-monitor desktop, with XFCE and NVidia proprietary drivers
1) Have window maximised on main [left, in my case] monitor, with panels at the
top and bottom of the screen.
2) Dragging that window with alt-left-click would un-maximise it. Don't let go
the mouse button.
3) Pull the window to the other monitor and mash the mouse to the top of the
screen [where there are no panels]
Previous behaviour:
4) Window would automatically maximise. Let go the mouse, done.
Current behaviour:
4) Window does not automatically maximise.
5) If I drag it so that the top edge of the window is touching the top of the
screen, it *does* maximise.
The whole point of the previous behaviour is that the target area that
allows for maximising is limitless. Under current behaviour, it's only a
couple pixels wide.
Other observations:
a) If I drag from the right monitor [without the panels], it appears to remain
working.
b) But... it may be because every time the top of the window touches the top of
the screen, it reshapes the window but the mouse keeps going. When I eventually
hit the mouse against the top of the screen, that's also the top of the window
against the top of the screen.
