Adam: Thanks for the reply. I was running the 3.4 kernel I had
downloaded from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v3.4-precise/.

I took your suggestion and installed "linux-generic-lts-quantal" from
http://www.ubuntuupdates.org/package/core/precise/main/updates/linux-
generic-lts-quantal . However, I am once again facing the same problem
as before: the wl driver loads and my wireless is detected, but does not
seem to be able to get past the authentication stage. If you need
additional information about my system, please let me know. Thanks.
