Hi, I have the same problem with the X1400. Since it is only supported by fglrx driver (at least in fesity), installation falls back to vesa driver. This driver cannot support my display resolution (1440x900) and it cannot start.
The solution is, from the command line: * install the privative fglrx driver * update the xorg.conf file, changing vesa to fglrx * startx I think that if VESA is selected in the installation, ubuntu shouldn't hear the display "best" resolution, since 1024x768 is also supported silently -- Display problems in Feisty (laptop, "no screens found") ati x1400 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108997 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
