Sorry I meant it should be installed by default for Ubuntu AMD64 ISOs. I did another clean install to day to test an upstream Kernel and had to use Synaptic to install it as it is not included in the packages supplied on Ubuntu ISOs. A non-technical user would not know this. There are bogs on the Web telling users how to fix the Ubuntu BOOT errors.
