The camorama_0.18-0ubuntu1 (available in edgy and feisty universe) and camorama_0.18-2ubuntu1 (available in gutsy universe) packages should report their version as 0.18. The version is set through the PACKAGE_VERSION constant which is set to 0.17 in the AC_INIT call:
