frustrating....

I, again, created a 'dos' partition fat32 as the first partition, set
as boot, but could not give the path name specified. My only choices by
Gparted was /dos or /windows I selected /windows

When the boot process began, I was able to point to this first
partition.

The install finished in about 4.5 hours. When restarted I got the usual
error:

Reboot and Select proper Boot Device
Or Insert Boot Media in selected boot device and press any key

I executed the command to determine if the install was in EFI mode or
Legacy, and it says Legacy Mode.

I was able to rename the partition /boot/efi, but soon it became
~BOOT~EFI.

I then executed the 'boot repair' program and this time different things
happened.

a. Grub2 was uninstalled
b. grubx64 was installed
c. I was told to point the boot process to sda1/EFI/ubuntu/grubx64.efi in the
bios [NOT Possible]

The bios ONLY lets me select the drive. No Directory pointing is
possible.

In this process I got two more status codes from the boot repair
processing /1563265 and /1563316

No Joy. Instructions helpful but still not booting into Ubuntu
