Binary package hint: xorg
Install Gutsy Tribe 2 on Apple's newest revision of the MacBook Pro.
When the machine does its first post-install boot, the Ubuntu boot
screen shows, and then goes to a black screen. Going into recovery mode,
and changing the driver from "nv" to "vesa" in /etc/X11/xorg.conf allows
one to at least start X.
