I have a Santa Rosa MabBook Pro, 15", and after upgrading alsa-base and alsa-utils, triyng the change all the switches in the alsa mixer, and compiling last version of the alsa drive, following the tutorial on the Ubuntu Wiki ( https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HdaIntelSoundHowto ), it still doesn't work.
Of course I tried adding "options snd-hda-intel model=w2jc" on different files, such as /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base but for now I can't get sound working, for the laptop speakers or even the headphones. -- Sound volume too low on MacBook Pro (Rev. 3 Santa Rosa) and Gutsy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/125332 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
