I have been experiencing this problem through every Ubuntu-distributed
kernel since 10/29/2011, when I purchase the USB3 enclosure listed
below. I am currently experiencing this on Ubuntu 12.10 (server
edition), kernel 3.5.0-23-generic on x86_64 arch.
As with other reports, the problem goes away if I plug the enclosure
into a USB 2 port.
Over the course of the 15+ months I've had to deal with this, I've seen
countless other reports of the same issue on many different sites. I'm
amazed we still have usb3 issues after all this time. I really hope
someone can take ownership of this thing. If I had the knowledge I'd do
it myself...
Disconnects almost every minute.
