Public bug reported:
I am not sure which package failed.
The conditions were 2 hard drives installed, Win 7 Primary partition, and win
8 in logical partitions on 1st hard drive.
I installed Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on second hard drive.
So now I have two boot loaders? Grub gives me choice between Ubuntu and
Window 7 - 8,
Go to Win 7 - 8 and get choice of Windows 7 or 8 from windows dual boot
loader. This worked although kind of a long trip to boot up.
I was trying to expand Windows 8 partition with KDE Partition Manager and it
was about 30% complete when it crashed and then I lost ability to boot into
Windows. I tried Super Grub 2 ISO Boot disk and it can't find Windows.
I have tried restoring windows with an ISO image but PC still can't find
Windows?
Windows partition do not have mounting points per KDE partition manager.
Obviously I am in over my head.
Any suggested help will be appreciated.
