PLEASE NOTE: Bug Reports would not let me enter "Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, System Settings, or Additional Drivers, or anything like that.
This is incredibly frustrating, as this problem doesn't seem to be associated with any package, but with operating system components. I had to make a big stretch to find something that seemed at least remotely connected and fool the system into letting me post this bug.
