sudo dpkg --remove --force-remove-reinstreq sun-java5-bin
the problem is you have to agree the license that comes with the program. if
you dont
the prog. isn't prop. installed, and leaves you with a broken apt and synaptic.
reinstall sun java with the license. opening the terminal.
