@james: After checking with the default driver, the problem still
exists. (even with the kernel mentioned above) - here's the output
regarding the onboard video on this specific laptop
00:01.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] nee ATI
Device 9808
I retested with the following commands:
1: sudo apt-get install fwts (if not already installed)
2: fwts s3 --s3-multiple=10
By the first suspend, and resume, video does NOT return.
** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
