This issue turned out to only affect compilation on i386 systems, and
was fixed in Debian in version 3.2-1~exp5.

Since 3.2-1~exp5ubuntu1 is available in raring-proposed, I'm marking
this to Fix Committed.

** Changed in: clang (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Fix Committed
