I have been experiencing exactly the same problem,

I 'fixed' it by downgrading CUPS to :
511 mv /usr/lib/cups/backend/ipp14 /usr/lib/cups/backend-available/ipp14
512 apt-get install cups=1.5.2-9ubuntu1
