After nux changes the blur was not that accurate but it was fast enough to be drawn on 1920x1080 panel by intel HD 3000. Now it takes exactly the same time in that configuration as before the switch to the faster method - the dash fades in in distinct steps - the reason why bug #1099787 was filed.
However, this does not affect the dash fade in only. The previews also take about 2 seconds to appear (during this time the rows are slowly and visibly shifted) and it takes 4 seconds to switch back from a preview to the dash icons. P.S. In my case this fade in process is also creating a weird overexposure effect in the eyes if looked directly at the black text causing the text to appear white after blur for a brief time. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1102410 Title: Speed up dash blur To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/1102410/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
