Public bug reported:

I started ubuntu 7.04 from CD and it was working fine as a live CD. I then
installed it to my hard drive. I did a reboot and ubuntu booted up quite good
and worked fine. But after 1-2 reboots it slowed down. Boot process takes
almost 5 to 10 minutes and it is very slow. Shutdown is also very slow. Below
is my PC configuration.
Intel Pentium 3 800 MHZ processor
Intel 810E chipset mercury mother board
256 MB SD RAM
40 GB Samsung IDE Hard drive
15" Samsung Samtron 55v monitor
TVS Gold keyboard
Ligitech Scroll mouse
Sony CD rewriter

I tried disabling several services but it didn't help.
