Public bug reported:

I let the upgrade manager do an upgrade earlier this week and lost the
use of my built-in wireless card. I wasn't sure what the problem was
but have now tracked it down to the upgrade resetting the restricted
drivers manager back to no devices enable.

Fortunately, I have a wired connection available nearby and was able to
download the necessary drivers again. I don't know if I would have been
able to get going again without the wired connection. Obviously I had
downloaded the driver before but I'm not sure where it is or whether I
could get the system to locate it.

I don't know why the system did this but I think it's a really bad idea
to disable a (presumably) working way of connecting to the outside
world.
