Ok. So there is no other solution than to remove the old UBUNTU and consider a new installation. BEST REGARDS

I deleted some programs I added in order to be able to update the 12.04 OR upgrade to 12.10 as the space designated for UBUNTU is/was not enough to upgrade. When deleting programs I obviously deleted something I should not have deleted. Next time I tried to start UBUNTU, it failed to login. I have the CD with 12.04 and I do not want to erase all I have on the 12.04 I have used for about 8 months. Ca I repair with the cd?? If so how??
