@steve Some 'minor' news. I'm now able to see my USB key when navigating to "Boot from EFI file". I had to zero the partition table :
$ dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdc bs=4M count=1 Then recreate the key using USB creator and the daily Raring image. Now the USB key is visible from "Boot from EFI file" and I can navigate in the directories. But when I navigate to either under boot->grub or syslinux->grub->x86_64-efi I have no file that can be selected, only what seems like empty directories : <.> <..> This is the case either with or without secureboot enabled -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1100247 Title: Unable to install Ubuntu on laptop without enabling Legacy mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shim/+bug/1100247/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
