Thanks for reporting this bug.
I am unable to reproduce the problem in new version wsjt 9.3.r2792+dfsg-1 in
Ubuntu Precise (12.04).
The new wsjt version 9.3.r2792+dfsg-1 is in Ubuntu Raring (13.04).
For earlier Ubuntu versions precise & qantal, the same fix is available in my
PPA at https://launchpad.net/~jnogatch/+archive/wsjt9
