** Description changed:

- Hi, I 've a new problem. I'm not a novice for linux, I use Ubuntu from 2006.
- First, I've Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS on Asus Zenbook UX 32 V intel core i7, Nvida
graphic card, 4gb RAM, only USBs 3.0.
-
- Previous I worked on a eeePC with a UMTS modem USB, in particular
- "Onda MC503HSA MF636", to access to the web with the same of Ubuntu
- version on Usb 2. For the first installation of that modemkey in that
- computer I used several guide in internet. In that occasion I've
- modified 10-hsdpa.rules config file and I installed wvdial with ppp: all
- worked very well (I could also connect with Networkmanager). I also
- installed usb_switch and I used the driver installation for linux
- donwloaded from the manufacter
- http://www.ondacommunication.com/it/prodotti/o/28/MC503HSA-Coop?id_cat=2
- (though the driver version was suitable only for old kernels).
-
- I tried to repeat that kind of installation in Zenbook but it doesen't
- work.
-
- The model recognized by Ubuntu is: ZTE WCDMA Technologies MSM
- MF627/MF628/MF628+/MF636+ HSDPA/HSUPA
-
-
- I show you the lsusb print:
-
- Bus 001 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
- Bus 002 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub
- Bus 003 Device 003: ID 19d2:2000 ZTE WCDMA Technologies MSM
MF627/MF628/MF628+/MF636+ HSDPA/HSUPA
- Bus 003 Device 002: ID 045e:0745 Microsoft Corp. Nano Transceiver v1.0 for
Bluetooth
- Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
- Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
- Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
- Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
- Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0bda:0139 Realtek Semiconductor Corp.
- Bus 002 Device 003: ID 04f2:b330 Chicony Electronics Co., Ltd
-
- (so, I modified 10-hsdpa.rules and wvdial.conf files with
- vendor:product)
-
- I also ran that:
-
- sudo rmmod usb-storage & sudo modprobe usbserial vendor=0x19d2
- product=0x2000
-
- usb_switch..
-
- (and nothing changed...)
-
- Then I ran sudo wvdial which showed:
-
- --> WvDial: Internet dialer version 1.61
- --> Cannot open /dev/ttyUSB3: No such file or directory
- --> Cannot open /dev/ttyUSB3: No such file or directory
- --> Cannot open /dev/ttyUSB3: No such file or directory
-
- Also networkmanager didn't work also creating a new specific connection
- of UMTS
-
- I think the problem regards Usb3
-
- ... so What I should do?
+ invalid, please erase it
