tested with
- shutdown from Gnome
- gnome-session-quit --power-off --force from terminal (with sudo)
- shutdown -h now from terminal (with sudo)
- shutdown -P now from terminal (with sudo)
- poweroff from terminal (with sudo)
result is always the same. session closes, there are messages about
switching off, screen goes black, all disks and fans switch off. the
after 2-5 seconds computer starts again and boots into linux
this doesn't happen with windows 7 (i have dualboot system)
i found some instructions on internet mentioning switching off 'wake on
lan' in bios, but it seems i don't have such option at all
