Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-mount
I have tried to read DVD+R disks that were burned on Windows XP and
contained data folders and files, and Ubuntu fails to recognize them.
On one such disk, Ubuntu thought it was a CD (780 MB) and did not see
the files and folders but displayed an autoplay.inf and a udf
executable. On a second burned DVD+R, Ubuntu recognized it as a blank
disk, but did not allow me to write to it from Ubuntu, asking me to
insert a blank disk. I then loaded a DVD+RW with Windows XP files and
folders, and Ubuntu was able to read it and write to it. I have been
able to view video DVDs. I'm guessing that there is a problem with
DVD+R media on Ubuntu.
** Affects: gnome-mount (Ubuntu)
