Public bug reported:

I'm having a hard time figuring this out!

First, when moving the mouse, i hear some noise in the speakers.
Second, depending on how much programs run simultaniously and what gets
rendered on the screen, i get a constant growling noise in the speakers paired
with the slightly higher sounding noise from the mouse movements.

If only the desktop is shown, there's no background noise in the
speakers.

Some examples that produce a background noise:
when switching between desktops, as soon as the little window opens that shows
all available desktops, the noise starts.
open a terminal, open a file in vim. as soon as i move the cursor i get a
growling/ crackling sound.
while filling out this bug report, moving the cursor (with arrow keys) inside
the text field i get that growling sound.
yet even stranger: the blinking cursor in the textfield of this bugreport
produces a noise as soon as the cursor is shown, so it constantly goes tock...
tock... tock... tock...

I tried the workarounds mentioned at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/PositionReporting but nothing helped.

Anything i can do on my part to further investigate this?
Thanks!
