I am experiencing this bug on a Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 420. I have the touchpad disabled via the Xubuntu settings manager, and I have not upgraded X using the ppa, so my machine is in the right state for debugging. I experience the same problem as everyone else: X crashes immediately when I click the Inkscape workspace. What system information do we need/commands do I need to run in order to provide useful debugging output?
