I re-ran alsa-info.sh both with and without headphones.  Attached is the
output.  With headphones attached it reads:

        control.33 {
                iface CARD
                name 'Headphone Jack'
                value true
                comment {
                        access read
                        type BOOLEAN
                        count 1
                }
        }
