Specification updated.
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareUpdates?action=diff&rev2=104&rev1=103>
The simple implementation is making the column headers clickable, but
I've also specced a "View" menu as an accessible equivalent.
** Changed in: update-manager (Ubuntu)
Status: Confirmed => Triaged
** Description changed:
This is not a real bug, but rather a feature request. I think there should be
an option "sort by" name, version, and SIZE.
When I look for updates, many times I don't download all the proposed ones,
especially the big updates (sometimes I want to download big files in another
moment). Everytime I have to check the biggest one and when there are a lot of
updates I waste useful time.
+
+ <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareUpdates#sorting>: "Sorting by:
+ * “Restart Required” should list updates requiring a restart before those
that don’t.
+ * “Install”/“Name” (the default) should list updates in alphabetical order.
+ * “Download”/“Download Size” should list already-downloaded updates first,
then the remainder smallest first..."
