Sorry about your deadline. =/ Currently we do not have support for mdadm with external metadata (aka Intel Rapid/Matrix Storage) in the installer and hence we still use dmraid which has trouble reading large volumes.
Also grub-installer currently does not seem to handle imsm correctly.
