Yes. These links work. http://www.dotfiles.org/ http://www.dotfiles.org/.vimrc
It doesn't look like it's the same page that has moved since the copyright is from 2006 and and that probably predates the wikipage and the closing of www.dotfiles.com. It has been downsince 2009. Here's the earlier page from waybackmachine: http://web.archive.org/web/20060315070844/http://www.dotfiles.com/index.php3?app_id=9 http://www.dotfiles.org/ looks legit. I can't edit the wikipage though. ** Changed in: ubuntu-docs (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Description changed: VimHowTo (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/VimHowto) contains a reference to dotfiles (http://www.dotfiles.com/index.php3?app_id=9) which site no longer comes up. - - Description: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS - Release: 12.04 - - firefox: - Installed: 18.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 - Candidate: 18.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 - Version table: - *** 18.0.2+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 0 - 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-updates/main i386 Packages - 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise-security/main i386 Packages - 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status - 11.0+build1-0ubuntu4 0 - 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/main i386 Packages expected to go to the site being linked to was redirected instead to some generic and therefore frightening website I believe the site is now dotfiles.org which seems to relate to dotfiles and sharing them. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1126722 Title: VimHowto contains broken link to dotfiles.com To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-docs/+bug/1126722/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
