Public bug reported:

This is the second time i encounter this problem. I have Windows 7 installed on
Partition C on my Hard drive.
When I tried to install Ubuntu 12.10, it detects that I have Windows 7
installation. I choose the option to install Ubuntu along side Windows 7 and
let the installer do the work automatically. When installation finishes, I got
the grub2 menu showing that normal Ubuntu choices and one entry for Windows 7.
When I choose it, I got an error message that I can't boot into Windows. I
didn't note the message but it talks about having invalid arguments for calling
Windows 7 loader.

After doing some researches on this problem, my major suspection is that
Ubuntu overwrote the MBR records for Windows. It didn't create for
itself another drive and installed its boot record!

** Affects: grub2 (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
