Well I have re-installed Ubuntu 4 times now so that I am working with a fresh install each time and I have been unable to get sound working on either the front audio jack or the rear green line out jack using either the upstream drivers or the Realtek Drivers though I am able to get sound out of the sub-woofer jack.
I would be interested to know from those who have had success with the Realtek Driver which version of the driver you used and whether you just used the install script or if you followed the compile instructions and if you added any dependencies of any kind before hand? I would also note that I do hear a brief scratching type of sound from the line out jacks when the system starts or if I change the sound settings in the audio panel. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/996245 Title: [Gigabyte MB: GA-Z77X-UD5H-WB, ALC898] No sound from headphone/line- out jacks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/996245/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
