Public bug reported:

After resuming from suspend, hard disk activity goes crazy, and the
machine is very unresponsive... See Bug 391628.

Please note, I was asked to file a new bug report by Christopher
Penalver.

I have no new information to offer unless a developer with some
experience is willing to guide me through some diagnostics.
