I am having the same issue trying to sync the software center between two laptops. I had been using this feature for a long time and it has worked fine until I removed my old netbook from sync and added my new netbook. I have tried a number of suggestions such as deleting cache files and removing devices from login.ubuntu.com but nothing has worked so far. I have tried removing devices and reinstalling the software center with no luck yet.
