Public bug reported: Using Ubuntu 12.10.
Setup: I have one monitor connected to my ATI Radeon HD 6800 card (via DVI) and one monitor connected via HDMI to my ASUS motherboard (the CPU has an Intel HD4000 built-in graphics card). The BIOS is set to have the PCI-E card as the default display. What happens: When I boot, I see the display connected to the ATI card. If I then go into display settings, and try turning on the other monitor, the Kernel crashes spectacularly. The log is attached. My installation is fully updated, but I have not installed any extra AMD or Intel drivers. Regardless, I'm fairly certain the kernel should not be crashing like this. Let me know if you need any extra info. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1130489/+attachment/3537559/+files/log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1130489 Title: Kernel Crash with AMD/Intel Graphics Combination To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1130489/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
