I've just been using my pc normally for some java development (eclipse, jetty etc.) and noticed my RAM usage was quite high, after closing everything it was still at ~75% used. Open system monitor to find compiz with 3GB of RAM. extract from `pidstat -r -p 2101 60 100 >> mem.log`
