The issue seems to lie somewhere in lightdm. I was able to successfully build .deb packages for the fglrx drivers and install. Each time I installed it, on the next restart lightdm would exit with status one.
Using the command sudo service lightdm start would end with the same results. The service would start and immediately terminate with a message identical to the CurrentDmesg.txt attached to bug. This could be done as many times as desired. I cannot find any indication in any logs as to what is causing this. All the logs in /var/log/lightdm appear to be blank when viewed with nano. At the current time I've installed gdm in place of lightdm and was able to login and start an xsession successfully. Any assistance in determining the issue would be appreciated. I am willing to help retrieve any debug data requested. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1127767 Title: Lightdm service does not run with fglrx installed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/fglrx/+bug/1127767/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
