of=/dev/sr0" on a Chromebook in developer mode here...) Using apport-collect to 
add information to this bug report in a little bit; my backup adapter (a 
WUSB54G, which at least has a connection, albeit a flaky one) has 
connection-dropping problems of its own, so stand by...
