The characters do not fit in the default column size so Calc displays ### rather than cutting off the text. This is a feature so you know that there is more data. The column must default to a set size and there is no good argument to widen them just so that this format fits, for starters its a user defined format that Jesusfreak has defined not a standard Calc format. Even if it was a Calc format you need to draw the line somewhere for example "Wednesday, 6 March 2013" is almost twice as long.
I hope this clarifies why I marked the bug as invalid. The "make it easy for new users" line is valid sometimes and other times user just need to learn how the software works. This is one of those other times. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1132531 Title: Error in date format for Wednesday To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hundredpapercuts/+bug/1132531/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
