Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-nv
Occasionally, when loading some programs (usually open office or
xscreensaver) the colour map seems to be corrupted. The colour white
seems to be the only thing to suffer. It seems to be converted to a
random colour. I have had black and red and blue! I have no idea how
to begin debugging this. The only fix I have found is to restart X.
lspci sample:
00:05.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation C51PV [GeForce 6150] (rev
a2)
xorg.conf sample:
Section "Device"
Identifier "NVIDIA GeForce 6150"
Driver "nv"
BusID "PCI:0:5:0"
Option "SWCursor" "true"
EndSection
