1) If you use any lua scripts with conky, disable/remove them and see if memory
leaks are still an issue.
2) Try upgrading to conky 1.9.0-2, available in backports:
$ sudo apt-get install -t precise-backports conky-{std,cli,all} #
choose one of the conky "flavours" available
