Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.
The error being reported by the package manager during the install
indicates that something is already running on port 9050 on your
machine, which is where tor is trying to setup it's proxy port. Do you
already have tor installed some other way, or some other proxy running?
