Public bug reported: I have a 2 day old installation of Kubuntu Fesity on an x61s laptop. I had several applications open. I saw that there was an update waiting, so I clicked on the icon. When asked for a password, I entered it. It said the password was wrong. I entered it again then it said "su returned with error". I opened a terminal and discovered that sudo was not working at all anymore. I rebooted, went into recovery mode and ran visudo. My username was not in the sudoers list so I added it and now everything is working smoothly again. I however have absolutely no idea why this happened.
