I don't think you can assign <Alt><PrtSc> as the combination is spoken for by the kernel. This is by default. The option to have this interaction is in the kernel and the desicion to have it enabled by default is with the Ubuntu developers. See bug #642792.
Unless you disable it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_SysRq_key#Configuration http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1890355&p=11511510#post11511510 Also see answer 7 in this thread: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/metacity/+bug/642792 To avoid confusion xfce4-settings-manager should issue a clear warning about why it doesn't accept the combination or at least a generic message on failure like "cobination not allowed". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1081599 Title: unable to setup ALT+PrtSc (alt + printscreen) in keyboard applications shortcuts settings menu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-settings/+bug/1081599/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
